My dear Gent,
I hope that my telegram about the
"Sagres" which I sent on Easter Day was not
regarded as fussy. The matter scarcely seemed
to me to be one for intervention on my part:
rather it appertained to the Foreign Office and
for Admiralty gentry. On the other hand I
gathered from the Commodore that he would welcome
some action on my part. Hence my inquiry.
